Futtermedicus MCT capsules contain high-quality medium-chain fatty acids (MCTs) from coconut oil. These fatty acids are metabolised particularly easily and provide the body and brain with quickly available energy.

Part of the MCTs is converted in the liver into what are known as ketone bodies, which can serve the brain as an alternative energy source - a property that is especially valued in older animals and in special life situations (e.g. dogs with epilepsy).

The MCT capsules are almost tasteless and odourless and are excellently suited as a supplement to all types of feeding - whether home-cooked, BARF or ready-made food.

This makes them ideal for all dogs that prefer a capsule over an oil, or whose owners prefer straightforward handling.

The MCT capsules can be fed daily. Futtermedicus recommends starting with one capsule and then slowly increasing to the required amount of capsules over the course of a week.

For animals with special needs - for example older dogs or dogs with particular neurological requirements - dosing should sensibly be agreed in consultation with the vet.
