Vitamin Optimix Cani Struvite & Urate - the mineral and vitamin supplement to balance nutritional imbalances in dogs with urinary crystals
Dogs with urinary crystals that are fed home-prepared rations need a suitable supplement to correct nutritional imbalances. Vitamin Optimix Cani Struvite & Urate by Futtermedicus supports a balanced supply of minerals and vitamins, with magnesium and phosphorus kept low and in line with requirements. The methionine it contains helps keep urine pH in the slightly acidic to neutral range.

Vitamin Optimix Cani Struvite & Urate keeps the dog’s urine pH stable and provides phosphorus and magnesium in line with requirements. It also ensures a complete nutrient supply for both BARF and home-cooked rations. Home-prepared food without suitable mineral supplementation does not contain all the vitamins and minerals dogs need, and over time this can lead to nutrient imbalances.
For further acidification of urine pH, additional DL-methionine is suitable (see feeding guidelines). DL-methionine acidifies the urine and helps shift urine pH into the target range of 6.2 to 6.5, a range that is generally considered unfavourable for struvite formation. The additional DL-methionine can be stopped when your vet advises it.
Not suitable for use with mineralised complete food
Vitamin Optimix Cani Struvite & Urate was designed specifically to complete home-prepared urinary stone diets. Because of its higher trace element and vitamin content, it is not suitable for supplementing complete feeds or other dog meals that are already mineralised.
